Toen ik aangenomen werd in het Tweesteden Ziekenhuis in Tilburg, was er een probleem: de reisafstand van huis naar werk. Op zoek naar een kamer kwam ik bij Gerrie terecht. Ik wist het gelijk: hier voel ik me thuis.
De kamer is knus, gezellig, schoon, licht en ruim, heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Het ligt in een rustige buurt, met de voorzieningen dichtbij.
Daarnaast wordt deze kamer verhuurd door een verhuurster die aardig, lief, behulpzaam en goed voor je is. Ze respecteert je privacy als je dat nodig hebt, maar is ook een luisterend oor voor al je zorgen, geluk en andere belevenissen. Samen hebben we ook de stad verkend, zijn we uit eten gegaan en naar de film geweest.
Met pijn in mijn hart heb ik eind 2012 afscheid genomen van deze mooie kamer, de beste verhuurster die je kan wensen en een lieve vriendin.
2012, het jaar waarin mijn thuis bij Gerrie was, een jaar om nooit te vergeten. Wat voor altijd herinnert wordt met Skyfall.

I heartily recommend Gerrie's attic: for me it was love at first sight! It's compact, but it's very comfortable, having everything you need. It's really well furnished, and I like the way Gerrie organized it. During the day the attic is very sunny, which I also liked. And the neighbourhood is nice too. I spent one year there, while working at Tilburg University, and I think I could not find a better location: the university is in walking distance, and it's also easy to get downtown and to the railway station, both by bike and by bus.
Besides the attic itself, I also enjoyed Gerrie as landlady: she is very nice and willing to help me, in case I needed, always being discreet. I also appreciated that she fluently spoke English, so that I could easily communicate with her. She tried to teach me a bit of Dutch, too, for which I am also grateful to her!

Very recommended! Hospitality at it's best. When I arrived to Tilburg and the Netherlands in general, first days where hectic and everything new. The guestlady and her son where very helpful and I was pleased they spoke fluently English ( but also German, French and Dutch!!) and are sportive as well; we played tennis occasionally or had a cosy dinner in their garden.
The house is neat and located in an ideal location nearby University, grocery stores, trainstation, sportcentre, city centre. The room is beautiful decorated and well equipped and inclusive a weekly cleaninglady.
If you decide to stay there, you will enjoy it from the first tea that you receive including a a big smile right after saying hello, until the minute you have to leave with the impression of leaving friends and a home behind!
